Evelyn J. Hallford is an experienced EMS Program Director and Paramedic with an Associates of Science in Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine Paramedic Sciences, a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership.
She is the founder of the National Emergency Wildland Service Institute (NEWSI), as well as the Owner and Director of Outdoor Educators, an EMS training platform and curriculum for firefighter professionals working in the wild land environment. Evelyn performs reviews of EMS programs and individual continuing education courses for the Commission on Accreditation for Prehospital Continuing Education (CAPCE).
She has extensive experience analyzing, planning, designing, implementing, and administering EMS activities, procedures, and policies. Evelyn holds numerous professional licenses and certifications including, National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT); Covid-19 contact tracing and methods for detection, prevention, response and control; Hyperbaric Medicine Certification; and the State of Arizona EMS Instructor Credential/Certificate. She has taught many courses from basic Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic – Advanced Life Support, and continuing education courses for NREMT, NEWSI and other organizations, and has been published on the Wildland Service Institute website.
