The Fireline Infection Control (FIC-100) course developed by the National Emergency Wildland Service Institute is specifically designed to help decrease the risk of infection from pathogens for wildland firefighters as well as all individuals working on the fireline.
- Contact us for pricing - The Wildland Medical Provider Course is designed to provide the skills and knowledge needed to perform in the role of a fire line medical provider. By providing online education modules with three days of immersion-planned scenario-based instruction, this course is designed to be engaging and fast-paced.
This training program is specifically tailored to medical professionals who work in all hazards and wildland fire environments. The course emphasizes the importance of utilizing an ICS structure when managing medical incidents within larger incidents. Ultimately, these strategies increase the likelihood of saving lives in complex and challenging situations.
Our courses are designed to inspire, educate, and engage students. We currently offer a variety of educational formats which include: e-learning courses that are self-paced and self-guided, hybrid learning courses that are a combination of in-person or live instruction combined with online components, and also in-person training events.
All of our courses are located within a state-of-the-art learning management system which is available online or as an app.

If you are having an issue with Canvas our LMS, student 4support is available for you 24/7 through the Canvas LMS portal. For all other questions and needs contact us at admin@newsi.us, please allow us 24 to 48 hours to respond to your inquiries.
All payments for courses are made via debit/credit card through a secure payment system within Canvas which you are directed to after you select the course you wish to register for. If you are registering for a live event or workshop option, then you will be directed to a secure payment portal to pay via debit/credit card as well.
All course completion certificates including CAPCE continuing education certificates are emailed directly to you after completion of the course. For continuing education courses with CAPCE credit, please allow 72 hours for your name to be uploaded into the CAPCE database following completion of the course. If you have any questions or do not receive a CE certificate, please contact us at admin@newsi.us
Complete refunds for continuing education courses are given if the provider cancels a class; students who self-register online for any short-term class, including the Bystander Emergency Training course, will not be issued a refund once enrolled in the course. All workshops, seminars, conferences, and special training programs are also covered by this policy.
